September has so far been a superb month for Mola Mola sightings with some large numbers being sighted around the sites in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.
This year has been very busy in Bali and we have seen a lot of divers visiting Crystal Bay to try and catch a sight of these Mola Mola. With the large number of dive boats and divers in the water the number of Mola Mola have been somewhat reduced although only at Crystal Bay.
At Blue Season Bali we do everything we can to ensure that we are able to find the Mola Mola for our guests. We actively do not visit dive sites like Crystal Bay when there are too may divers there as we know the chances of seeing the Mola Mola will be slim. Instead we will head off to the sites such as Toyapakeh, Blue Corner or the Jetty where we have been having some excellent sightings.
Blue Corner has been giving us some delightful dives with some really big creature action. Of course the Mola Mola have been there but we have also had large rays, sharks, and even some superb dolphin sightings whilst diving.
Crystal Bay remains a superb place to see the Mola Mola although it is really important to get there when there are no other dive boats around. With Bali Ocean II we are able to get out to the Islands quickly which means we are ahead of the rest on most days.
With half the Sunfish Season alread behind us we anticipate that the rest of September and the month of October will offer some excellent sightings. The number of tourists in Bali is beginning to drop which means that any divers heading out during October will have the best chance to spend some quality time with the Mola Mola.
