New - Amed Snorkeling
Go back in time as we head for the sleepy village of Amed, one of the top snorkeling destinations in Bali. The journey is a scenic two hour ride along the East Coast so sit back, relax, enjoy the view and maybe keep a watchful eye out for wild monkeys along the way. Snorkeling is directly from the shore and lunch will be at one of the beachfront restaurants.
Marine life: The marine life is similar to Tulamben with large trevally, groupers, parrot fish, lion fish, schools of harlequin sweetlips, blue striped snappers, emperor angel fish, bat fish, moorish idols and banner fish - also keep an eye out for bumphead parrot fish, turtles and reef sharks.
Water Temperature: A toasty 28 degrees all year round.

Recommended for:
People who want to snorkel directly from the beach. Although the beach at Amed has black sand, it isn't rocky like the beach at Tulamben, making it easier to get in and out of the water.
People who want to avoid crowds - Tulamben can get very busy in high season as everyone wants to either snorkel or dive the USAT Liberty Shipwreck, Amed will guarantee you a much quieter day.
Tips:
- Sunscreen - don't leave home without it!
- An underwater camera is great for capturing all those snorkeling memories, you can rent or buy one for $25.
- Keep an eye out for our Snorkeling Special Offers, they might coincide with your visit.
Interested in more than one days snorkeling? Then why not check out Padang Bai and the beautiful waters of Blue Lagoon.

"It was my first real experience of snorkeling and I was well looked after and felt very safe despite the rough waters at Manta Point. Thank you." Fiona Long, UK. (who saw five manta's!)
