A twenty minute drive from Tulamben will bring you to the sleepy village of Kubu. You’ll swim out about 50 meters but the picturesque shallow reefs make it rather enjoyable. You be greeted by two reefs, the ‘left’ and the ‘right’. The ‘left’ boasts beautiful corals and a great variety of fish species; beyond 15 meters are large barrel sponges and gorgonian sea fans. The ‘right’ has bommies in the shallows and large coral covered rocks; both reefs are rich with marine life with the deeper waters attracting regular shark and barracuda.
