From the Directors - February brought great news to Blue Season Bali with PADI Asia Pacifc honouring us with awards for "Outstanding Dive Business 2010" and "Commitment to Instructor Development 2010". It goes without saying that this would not have been possible without a lot of hard work by our management and staff; the directors would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the dive school, you are very much appreciated.
February has been exceptionally busy with Open Water Courses with many guests taking advantage of our free e-learning special offer. Certified divers were also in for a treat with Mola Mola’s spotted on Crystal Bay! Yes we know they like cold waters and favour Bali during August to October, so we have no idea what they were doing in 28 degrees at 15 meters. It wasn’t just a one off either, mola molas were spotted for a week with some sightings being at neighbouring Toyapakeh. The management were actually a little concerned that the Nusa Penida dive boat was so late back one day, but when our excited guests returned they said that they had spent an hour enjoying manta rays on the first dive and were in no hurry at leaving the sunfish on the second – diving just doesn’t get any better than this.
Well it only seems like yesterday when we celebrated our January IDC success and yet here we are again preparing for the next one. It will be a multinational affair once more with our Course Director Jon entertaining candidates from Finland, England and Germany and IDC staff hailing from Belgium and Argentina – enjoy yourselves guys, you’ll only do this once in life.
On a final note, all of us at Blue Season Bali would like to wish both Tom and Taka the very best of luck as they travel to Kota Kinabalu in March to attend the PADI CDCT; success will mean that we will have three onsite Course Directors which is unrivalled in Bali, we will also become the only dive center in Indonesia with a Japanese Course Director.
We’ll speak to you again next month, where I am sure we’ll have plenty more news for you....
