Internships - Blue Season Bali is proud to announce that it has received recognition for its conservation efforts in 2009 by being designated as a recipient of the 2009 Environmental Achievement Award.
This prestigious award is given to select dive centers who meet all requirements set forth for Project AWARE’s Environmental Achievement Award and who show exemplary efforts to conserve aquatic environments through education, advocacy and action. Blue Season Bali's key activities in 2009 included fundraising, Coral Watch, coral farming, AWARE kids programs, beach & underwater cleanups and the all-new inclusion of Go-ECO Master Scuba Diver courses in divemaster training.
In 2010, Blue Season Bali's commitment to the marine environment continues with the addition of an industry-exclusive Project AWARE workshop during our expanded 4-week PADI IDC program. This new workshop helps developing instructors understand how they can affect change in their local environment by organizing certain types of Project AWARE activities. Particular focus is paid to Coral Watch, Beach & Underwater Cleanups, the placement of mooring buoys, and reef restoration projects.
This half-day program was written by the senior instructor development staff here at Blue Season Bali with the aim to inspire and equip all of our graduating instructors with the information and ability to go out and carry our mission to the next level by establishing environmental programs in all the places they will work around the world. The success of our job placement programs means we have a special opportunity to help spread this message to the next generation of dive instructors- and their future students!
Blue Season Bali has also just been selected by PADI Asia Pacific as the winner of two prestigious member awards, being selected as the winner of the Outstanding Dive Business Award and also the Instructor Development Award.
To better recognise the achievements of those PADI Dive Centres and Resorts who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of diving, PADI Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the finalists and winners of this year’s PADI Asia Pacific Member Awards program which recognises their efforts from 2009.
The PADI Member Awards program was based on nine separate Asia Pacific regions; a system that ensured PADI Members compete with other PADI Members within their own geographical region for one of five Awards.
All PADI Dive Centres and Resorts within each of the nine regions were considered for nomination by a specially convened selection panel, who selected up to three finalists for each of the awards.
A panel of PADI judges then considered all of the finalists within each region and we are very pleased to announce the following finalists and winners of this year’s awards.
PADI congratulates all of our Members on the outstanding job you do training divers and we wish you the best of success for the remainder of 2010.
