IDC Bali - PADI Career Development
We may not all be aware of what it is like to find a job in the SCUBA Diving Industry. For many, it is assumed that is very easy to get that dream job.
Unfortunately, the reality is often different to the dream. Blue Season Bali understands the need for new PADI Instructors to have as many skills as possible when looking for work. As in all forms of employment, employees are looking for people with a lot of different skills and experiences.
First of all, answer the following question:
If you had your own dive company which of the following potential employees would you employ?
- Ms Z.

Experience with compressors.
Experience servicing equipment.
Experience working on boats.
Experience with working in a dive shop.
Experience selling diving and equipment.
Computer skills. - Mr J.
Recently completed his Divemaster Course and then his PADI OWSI course within the space of about one month.

It is easy to see the correct answer to the question. Most people would certainly pick the Instructor who has taken the time to maximize her skills and experiences. As a PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor you are expected to fulfill a number of roles, not just diving. We have spent endless hours trying to find the right Instructor for the job.
That is why Blue Season Bali has put together an Internship program that incorporates a wide range of beneficial courses and experiences, all under one roof. We have seen a requirement for quality instructors and so we decided to put together a program that gives you all the skills that will give you the best possible chance to a good start in the dive industry. It also gives us a chance to find top quality Instructors.
With all our internship candidates, we give them ample time to learn how to become diving professionals. It is not just about teaching a PADI Open Water Course! It is also about how to sell the diver the course, how to organize logistics, how to make the course flow effectively, how to sell equipment, how to sell continuing education courses, how to keep good paperwork and there are also a lot of other things involved. At the end of the day, the dive operation requires an Instructor who can fulfill all these roles, and more. At Blue Season Bali we ensure that when you have finished training with us, you can!
At Blue Season Bali, we make a commitment to all our Internship candidates.
Upon successful completion of the Internship program and the IE, we will find employment for them in the diving Industry.
