PADI Instructor Specialty Courses
It is so important to have as many skills as possible when you are looking for work as a diving Instructor. It gives both you and your future employer confidence of your ability as a professional dive educator. In most parts of the world an instructor without training beyond the OWSI level will find it much harder to find employment than someone with many extra skills.
Your next step - PADI Instructor Courses
After becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor you'll want to teach divers specific types of diving dependant to what your local area offers. To do this you need to be able to teach PADI Specialty diver courses. By doing so you can heighten your students' comfort level and strengthen their underwater skills, ultimately leading to their enjoyment of diving more than ever before.
There is wide variety of PADI Instructor Specialty courses. All these courses introduce you to the standards of the courses and also show you how to effectively market, conduct and organize the courses as an Instructor. Our PADI Course Directors will give you the latest teaching techniques to make your courses run smoothly. Some of the most popular Instructor specialty courses are listed here below:
- PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor Course
- PADI Digital U/W Photography Instructor Course
- PADI Wreck Diver Instructor Course
- PADI Deep Diver Instructor Course
- PADI Naturalist Specialty Instructor Course
- PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider
Blue Season Bali conducts the PADI specialty courses after the IDC and PADI IE have finished. We will also conduct them at any point during the year so let us know what you need. Most of these courses will take one day to complete and can be combined with the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer course or the MSDT Internship.
The cost for a PADI Specialty Instructor course is USD200.00 per specialty
EFRI - Emergency First Response Instructor Course
This program is composed of two core modules: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.
The EFRI course teaches Instructors and Divemasters how to organize, conduct, market and promote the PADI Emergency First Response Course. The PADI Rescue Diver course requires students to have EFR training prior to certification; you want to ensure that you can offer this course.
The EFRI and CFCI courses are conducted during the IDC in Bali. With our superb 28 day PADI IDC packages you can benefit from the IDC, EFR and MSDT preparation courses at a very special package rate.
PADI O2 Emergency Provider
Did you know that less than 50 percent of all injured divers receive emergency oxygen in the field? Fewer still receive oxygen concentrations approaching the recommended 100 percent. Believing that we must do better than this, PADI has introduced the new
PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty course
This entry-level course teaches recognition of diving illnesses treatable by emergency oxygen, as well as proper equipment setup and administration. This course is fun, easy and open to all – divers and non-divers alike. Being the best buddy you can be means being prepared – especially in a time of need.
PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer
If you want to train your dive students to the highest purely recreational dive level in the PADI System of diver education, you'll want to be a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. By attaining this level, your dive students will know where to come when they want to learn from an expert.
The Master SCUBA Diver Trainer rating is obtained when you already have five PADI Instructor Specialties. As a MSDT, you are able to teach PADI Master SCUBA Divers.
Blue Season Bali conducts the MSDT course throughout the year. This course will normally take around three days to complete although this depends on the exact specialties you plan to take. With our superb MSDT Internship option you can work towards getting the 25 certifications needed for the PADI MSDT qualification.
IDC Staff Instructor
Probably the most interesting PADI Instructor level courses!
IDC Staff Instructors work with Course Directors in a similar way to how Divemasters / Assistant Instructors work with Instructors. As an IDC Staff Instructor, you are heavily involved in conducting, organizing and assisting the IDC and Instructor Specialty courses. You will also be qualified to independently teach the PADI Assistant Instructor courses.
The IDC Staff Instructor course starts four days before the actual Bali IDC. This is when you will be undertaking the three day course with our PADI Platinum Course Director, Jonathan. Once you have successfully completed the IDC Staff Instructor course you will then sit in on the entire IDC where you will be expected to present IDC presentations to the IDC candidates.
There is a lot of information in these PADI IDC pages so please do not hesitate to contact us about any questions you have regarding your Scuba Diving Instructor course with Blue Season Bali.
