Fuel increases in Indonesia.
Posted date: 03 October 2005
The Indonesian government announced on the 1st October 2005 that the price of fuel would increase. The increase was set to reduce the huge subsidies that the Indoenesian government provides for fuel. With the high price of oil, the government has been unable to keep the high levels of subsidies for fuel. The cost of premium fuel has risen 88% from 2,400 rupiah per litre to 4,500 rupiah per litre.
We, like most other businesses in Bali, are in the process of raising prices for the our dive trips to accommodate this large rise in fuel prices. Packages already booked will be unaffected by these increases. If you require any further information, please contact us at sunfish@baliocean.com
