Manta Point - Diving Bali
Posted date: 29 April 2006
Dive in Bali during this time of year and you are almost guaranteed a visit from the Manta rays at Nusa Penida.
Today the group of divers from Singapore headed off to Manta Point at Nusa Penida, Bali. As the divers set off, the weather was grey and cloudy and it looked like being a miserable day. Some one liked us though and the sun decided to show its face and illuminate the dive site for us. It just so happens that the manta rays also approved and decided that they would join us on our dive. So happy were they, they would not leave us alone and in the end the only way we could get away from them was by leaving the water. It was not a bad way for our divers to start off their five day dive safari around Bali.
The next two dives were rather quite in comparison as we drifted along the reefs of Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida, and Sakanan on Nusa Lembongan. The conditi
ons were superb with only a light current pushing us along and the visibility at Crystal was at least 20 m +. At Sakanan it was varied, to say the least and the water could not decide what temperature it wanted to be. Sometimes warm, sometimes cold!
Our group of divers have now headed off to Tulamben where they will spend a few days before heading off to PJ in North Bali. They will be staying at Zen Resort Bali which is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and it just happens to have a superb dive site in front of it. We will give your more news on how the divers are going over the next few days.
