Diving Bali news 2nd Jan 07
Posted date: 02 January 2007
Did we say that the 1st January was amazing? Well we have just had another amazing day at Nusa Penida.
Maybe someone did not tell the Mola Mola that it is not the right season as they were certainly not paying attention. Whilst diving at Nusa Penida we encountered five, yes FIVE, Mola Mola just hanging around being cleaned by the masses of banner fish. We had to pinch each other as we just could not believe our eyes.
The Mola Mola were hanging around at about 25 meters at Blue Corner. The temperature was not so cold at about 24 degrees C although they were certainly enjoying themselves as they let us approach to within a only a few meters.
The Mola Mola are most commonly seen during August through to October although they can sometimes be seen at other times during the year, although this is very lucky. The two days in a row that we have seen them may just be extremely lucky. We will be looking again today!
