Bali Dive Sites - Mystery Rocks - mystery where, I hear you say? I don't suppose many of you have heard of this dive site which is probably Bali Dive Site Mystery Rocksthe way we like it. Mystery rocks is one of those beautiful dive sites where you can pretty much guarantee no other divers but a whole load of adventure.

I am not going to spoil the surprise just yet. Firstly I will tell you about my first diving adventure at this dive sight and if you are still interested, well then I will tell you where it is.

Dive Mystery Rocks

A friend of mine who lives in Bali invited me one day to dive with him at this new site, Mystery Rocks. Of course I was not going to say no and we headed up the coast for about five minutes in our bus. Now the place itself is very hard to find as there is nothing there. We had to park the bus up on some rough ground and then assemble the dive gear in the mud, trying not to get the gear covered in dirt. Ok, so this may not be the best place for guests, I'm thinking but we will give it a go.

Mystery Rocks - Bali's latest diving siteJust of the beach there are two dives sites side by side. I say two as if it is only one then it is far too big to see in one dive. To the east we have a fabulous drop off, very similar to the drop off in Tulamben bay yet much richer in coral growth and marine life. This dive started by following the slope down to about 35 - 40 meters. It kept going down but we weren't planning to go any deeper, I didn't have the tec diving gear with me anyway! At about 20 meters or so there was a really nice cave that probably went in some 10 meters or so. This was a really nice place to get some dramatic photo's as the fish life outside was teaming.

This whole area outside of the cave is covered with the usual suspects found in Bali, tons of lionfish, morays, nudibranchs, pipefish, frogfish, plus a load of shrimp and crab life. It really is an incredible dive for marine life lovers as the coral reef is so healthy which is a real pleasure to see.

The second dive site, attached to the first one, is mainly the shallow portion of the site lying over to the west. Here I was able to find so many varieties of nudibranchs that I could not believe my eyes. I also found lots of ghost pipefish and frogfish; I love frogfish so it was extra special for me. The site itself has gentle sand undulations where is it so easy to find the rare and unusual marine life we all love. There is nothing much big here, but if you like macro life then this is the best place.

Bali Dive Site Mystery Rocks in Tulamben After two dives here I was ready to plan my next trip as I knew this place would be loved by other divers.

So that brings me to the location. Well you should already have a big clue as to where it is - about 5 minutes outside of Tulamben bay and you will find this gem of a dive site. Not enough information? That's why you will have to choose Blue Season Bali to take you there and show you.
