Now the world cup is over we are seeing a huge increase in the number of people in Bali which means Sanur is bustling with life again. It has also seemed to bring out the Mola Mola on the dive sites; they must know that we are all enjoying watching them grace our shores. - read more
Bali Critter Life (well not exactly)
Yes of course, it is the majestic Mola Mola, and was given this name probably because of its grey colour, rough texture, and rounded body. They are also known as Oceanic Sunfish, this probably comes from the animal's habit of sunbathing at the surface of the water. They also have other names including Moon fish, swimming head and the Chinese translation of its academic name is fan-che pufferfish, meaning 'toppled car' pufferfish! - read more
