The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. The great thing about this course is that you will learn a variety of new skills that will excite and challenge you at the same time. And of course this is the stepping stone to becoming a PADI Rescue Diver.
One reason you’ll love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, night diving,  peak performance buoyancy and much more.
PADI Advanced Open Water - How does it work?
Like all PADI Courses, to begin with we need to do some independant study. This can be done through eLearning or you can study the manuals whilst you are in Bali. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is normally conducted over two days in Bali and requires two compulsary adventure dives:
The remaining three dives to be undertaken in Bali can be chosen from the list below:
- PADI Adventure Dives available to divers 10 years old and older:
- Additional PADI Adventure Dives available to divers 12 years old and older:
The five PADI Adventure dives are conducted over two days so it does not take long for you to complete this PADI course. For those who wish to have a slower pace, we can provide private courses.
Each dive is accompanied by a knowledge review that needs to be completed. There are no exams or quizzes like in the PADI Open Water Diver course. Upon successful completion of the five dives, your instructor will go through your log books and issue you with your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
PADI Advanced Open Water - Where will I dive?
The five PADI Adventure dives are conducted over two days so it is so easy for those with little time to complete this course. Each dive is accompanied by a knowledge review that needs to be completed. Our PADI Instructors will go over this with you either before, or after the dives.
As a rule we will be doing some quality diving in Nusa Penida and Tulamben. Both of these locations offer excellent diving with so much marine life and healthy coral reefs. We also dive in Sanur when the conditions are very good and we need shallow water sites, for the navigation dive, for example. We also have to take into account the Adventure dives that are being done on the course. Tulamben is perfect for underwater photography, for example.
