PADI Rescue Diver
Rewarding and fun - that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This
course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn
to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other
divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your
confidence.
When you enter a Rescue Diver course with Blue Season Bali, the instructional staff understands that you will be working towards becoming a highly qualified diver. The Rescue Diver course is regarded as serious fun!
Rescue Course Structure
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the confined and open water sessions, you'll cover:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems
- Dive first aid
- Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques
- Emergency management and equipment
- Panicked diver response
- Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In-water rescue breathing protocols
- Egress (exits)
- First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
- Dive accident scenarios
Diving Medical
All students are required to undertake a diving medical prior to the start of the course. We strongly recommend that you take this medical prior to your arrival in Bali.
As with all PADI diver training programs, you will be required to read the Rescue Diver Manual and complete the knowledge reviews. You will be tested on those knowledge reviews with a final exam.
During the course, you will be taught many rescue techniques that will be presented over five in water sessions. You will also have four rescue scenarios to complete in which you will be able to use what you have learned to manage real life emergencies.
Locations
The Rescue Diver courses are conducted in various locations around Bali in order to give you experience with varying conditions and styles of diving. The course normally requires around three days to complete although this does vary.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the PADI Rescue Diver certification. Now you are ready to move onto the PADI Divemaster certification.
