The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first step in becoming a PADI Certified diver. This two day diving course is designed to accommodate those divers that do not have enough time to complete the full PADI Open Water Diver course but want to get started with their diving adventure. When you complete this course you will get the PADI Scuba Diver certification that allows you to dive to a maximum of 12meters under the supervision of a PADI professional. It is perfect if you do not want to dive independently and you do not want to go deep.

PADI Scuba Diver - How does it work?

At Blue Season Bali we always ensure your dive courses is as relaxed as possible so that you have plenty of time to develop your skills and gain confidence. With all PADI courses we think about you, the student diver, as our main priority.

Prior to the start of the course, we will ask you to read the Open Water manual, chapters 1, 2 and 3 and watch the Open Water DVD. At Blue Season Bali we give you the Ultimate Open Water crew Pak as part of the course which includes the manual, RDP table, open water DVD and the "How to use and choose Dive computers". That's right, we are using the latest teaching tools available!

These days we also have the option to study online using the PADI eLearning. This is a great way to save studying during your holiday; get it done before you get to Bali.

On day one, after we pick you up and bring your to our dive school, we will check your knowledge reviews and then get you straight into the water. This is where we will develop your scuba skills - we go through three confined water (pool) sessions with you on this day.

On day two we will go for two open water training dives; this is where it gets really fun as you explore the underwater world. Dive one is basically a fun dive where you will get used to being underwater, diving with your buddy and showing the basic techniques for scuba diving. Dive two will include you showing the instructor some of the skills from the confined water sessions from the day before. Your Instructor will want to see that you are comfortable to perform these skills.

Once you have completed all the skills then your Instructor will sign your logbook and complete your PADI certification. Will will give you a temporary certification card and then you can expect your permanent certification card about 3 weeks later as this is posted out direct from PADI.

PADI Scuba Diver - Where will I dive?

During the PADI Scuba Diver course we dive in some great places. The most popular locations for the open water dives are at Padang Bai and Tulamben. Both of these locations offer excellent diving with so much marine life and healthy coral reefs. We also dive in Sanur when the conditions are very good and our customers need more time.
