A forty five minute boat ride from Sanur Beach will take you to the exquisite diving location of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. This is a mouth watering destination for any diver with white tip and grey reef sharks, turtles, manta rays, sunfish, huge schools of healthy reef fish, large pelagic's, macro critters, pristine hard and soft corals, gorgonian sea fans and stunningly clear visibility.

Diving in Penida can be very rewarding with exhilarating drift diving and the chance to get up close and personal with manta rays and sunfish; however, the bizarre ever changing currents make this a location for experienced divers only. The locals know that caution is always recommended on Nusa Penida/Lembongan as on a bad day the swell can be rather large and the sweeping currents can give even the most experienced diver nightmares.
SPECIAL OFFER- sign up for three days of diving with Blue Season Bali and we will add the PADI Advanced Open Water certification for only USD120 per person.

Nusa Penida Main Dive Sites:
Nusa Penida Water Temperatures:
Water Temperatures: Nusa Penida varies more than any other part of Bali; during the months from June until October you can expect anything from 19 to 22 degrees (we did one dive on Crystal Bay once that dropped down to 16! Ouch!!!) During the months of November until February you can expect a toasty 27/28 degrees.
Nusa Penida Additional Information:
Blue Season Bali’s own dive vessel, Bali Ocean II departs daily at 8.00am from Sanur and our three dive programme takes in the best sites on Nusa Penida. Dive sites are selected according to the experience level of our guests and the conditions on the day. In between dives you can relax aboard Bali Ocean II or snorkel in the clear bays surrounding the islands. Lunch, snacks, fruit, hot and cold drinks are provided to all of our guests.
Nusa Penida Sunfish Season:
Nusa Penida/Lembongan is the main diving location for sunfish. The season runs from August until the end of October and divers from all over the world come to Bali specifically to dive with these magnificent animals. It is highly recommended that you pre-book your diving with us as ‘Sunfish Season’ can be very busy.
Nusa Penida Safety Warning:
Many operators in Bali will take divers out to Nusa Penida without even checking certification cards. If you have less than twenty dives or haven’t dived in a while, don’t even think about risking it.
