Diving Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida Dive sites:

Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan

DIVE NUSA PENIDANusa Lembongan, a small island between Bali and Nusa Penida in the Badung Strait, is the perfect location for a dive trip like no other. With seasonal migrations of the Mola Mola and all year round sightings of Manta rays, this is an exceptional location to see prolific marine life.

Nusa Lembongan is located on the Wallace line. The ocean currents that funnel their way between these islands are rich in macrobiotic life that support abundant coral and fish life in shallow waters surrounding these islands.

Bali Ocean II departs daily at 8.00am from Sanur to the Islands. Wielding twin 250hp Four Stroke Suzuki engines, it takes only 30 minutes* to get to Nusa Lembongan.

Our three dive program take in the very best dive sites each day. Dive sites are selected according to the experience level of our guests and the conditions on that day. In between dives you can relax aboard Bali Ocean II or snorkel in the clear bays surrounding the islands. Lunch, snacks, fruit, hot and cold drinks are provided to all of our guests for the surface intervals. After diving the vssel returns to Sanur where we will then transfer you back to your hotels, once we have completed log books.

Nusa Penida Dive Sites

DIVE NUSA PENIDAThe three islands lying off Bali's South East coast are home to gorgeous corals and prolific marine life. The main attraction, apart from the sweeping coral reefs, is the Mola Mola or Oceanic Sunfish and the Manta rays.

The Mola Mola, or Oceanic Sunfish, host their seasonal migrations to these islands. The best time of the year to see these huge creatures is between July and October although they can be seen occasionally outside these times. Our guides are well rehearsed in locating these creatures that tend to congregate around a few sites, namely Blue Corner, Crystal Bay and Toyapakeh.

The Manta rays can be seen all year round at Manta point but it relies heavily on conditions.

The majority of diving at Nusa Penida is drift-diving and the currents are not always predictable. The majority of sites are for experienced divers although there are a number of beautiful sites for all level of divers.

DiVE MANTA POINT BALI Manta Point

DIVE MANTA POINTOne of Penida's most popular sites.

A beautiful boat ride along the coast line of Nusa Penida brings you to Manta Point. Manta sightings here are very common with some very large animals being seen. This site is very open to the elements so sometimes itg is not possible to dive this site. Make the most of it when the conditions are good!

DiVE BLUE CORNER BALI Blue Corner

DIVE NUSA PENIDABlue Corner has to be one of Bali's most famous sites.

This site is flushed with currents and stretches down to some very unsociable depths. However, on the right day, at the right time, you will be amazed at the marine life. Mola Mola, in season, love to hang out here! You will also find Marbel rays, Eagle rays, nurse sharks, dogtooth tuna, to name but a few. Experienced divers only!

DiVE SD BALI SD

NUSA PENIDA DIVESD is a beautiful dive site with large coral heads and a huge variety of marine life.

The normally gentle currents here wind you past Turtles, Manta Rays, Sea Snakes, Octopus, White Tip Reef Sharks and some of the most diverse collections of corals and sponges in Bali. The beautiful scenery at this site can only be experienced first hand.

DiVE CRYSTAL BAY BALI Crystal bay

BALI SUNFISHCrystal Bay is aptly named due to its fantastic visibility.

This site consists of a fantastic little bay in shallow water that offers excellent opportunities for photos, before sliding down into deep drop offs. Superb coral is only matched by the equally superb marine life. This is another excellent place to locate the Mola Mola which gather to be cleaned on the slopes of the reef.

DiVE TOYAPAKEH BALI Toyapakeh

BALI MANTAToyapakeh has to be the best of all Nusa Penida's dive sites.

Actually the site breaks into two with Toyapakeh wall and Toyapakeh. Both these sites are encrusted with corals and fish. The intensity of the fish life is something to be witnessed. Large pelagics are often seen here just lurking in the blue. Toyapakeh Wall is an excellent place to find Mola Mola hanging out in season. A must-dive惻dive site for any diving the Nusa Penida region.

DiVE NUSA PENIDA BALI Cenningan Wall

SUNFISH BALIA suprisingly stunning dive that receives little recognition.

The nutrient rich waters flowing out of the mangroves feed dense collections of multi-coloured soft corals and sponges on the north tip of Ceningan. Sweeping out into the current along the wall inquisitive Eagle Rays occasionally join the dive groups for the tour which winds through schools of Oriental Sweetlips and Sleek Unicornfish.
